Pops of Color

I am just loving all the color this spring.  There is color everywhere.  Who doesn't love all the neon shades available?  Here are some of my favorite bright colored purse friendly finds...

Love this necklace!
Adding a statement necklace to your outfit will add a pop of color
creating a whole new look.

I have a hard time wearing yellow.
If you are fair skinned like me,
this is a great way to add a bright, cheery yellow to your wardrobe.
J.Crew Factory Short in Citron

The v-neck tee is a staple in my wardrobe.
It's so easy to throw on with a pair of shorts or jeans.
What better way to update than to add a brightly colored v-neck to your wardrobe?
I love this one from Target because of it's great fit and price.

How cute are these green sandals?
I love this shade of green.
Wear these to add a pop of color to a neutral outfit,
pair with a contrasting color like coral,
or wear head to toe green in different shades for a different look.
So many options!

Those of ya'll that know me, know that I am a pink girl.
Do I even need to say anything about these neon pink skinnies?
I mean, I think they speak for themselves.
J.Crew Factory Skinny Jean in Neon Pink

Nothing says summer like a breezy, floral maxi dress.
Love the bright colors on this dress.

Pair this with gold bracelets, a gold watch or
wear alone for some added color to your wrist.

I want one in every color!
Accessories are a great way to jump on the neon color pop trend
without spending a lot of money or buying a whole new wardrobe.

You can even make your nails pop
by adding a brightly colored nail polish to your collection.
I am loving the new Resort Collection from Essie.

Super easy and cheap!
Throw on this lightweight tank with shorts or jeans.
So easy to dress up or down.  I love the versatility.
You can even add a statement necklace in yellow or mint for another pop of color.
Mossimo Supply Co. Fuschia Tank

Another great way to add some color is by
creating a dramatic eye with some
green or turquoise eyeliner or eyeshadow.

It's so easy to add pops of color into your wardrobe or beauty routine.
Have fun experimenting with all the color options available this spring!

Monogram Jewelry

Who doesn't love personalizing an item by adding a monogram?  Monogramming is huge right now and has made it's way into jewelry.  You've seen Taylor Swift and Lauren Conrad's monogram necklaces, the Real Housewives of Orange County's diamond monogram necklace, Christina Applegate with her daughter's name around her neck, and perhaps the most iconic, the "Carrie" necklace worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City.  Needless to say monogram jewelry is hot.  I am so excited about the newest addition to the monogram jewelry world.  The Pink Monogram is now offering their own line of custom hand cut monogram jewelry available for retail or wholesale.  You can customize to your liking to make it personal.  I love my gold script necklace on a split chain and wear it everywhere.  I used my boys' initials to make it special to me.

There are so many options.  Here are a few other of my favorites:

I just love all the color!

The Carrie Necklace.  Need I say more?

Love this!  It has the look of diamonds without the cost.

As you can see, there are some great monogram jewelry options.

The Wonderful Wedge

I am a wedge girl!  I love the height of a heel but need more stability.  Chasing after 2 little boys makes a stiletto a challenge.  I have always loved heels, so the wedge is the perfect option for me.  I can dress them up or down and still be comfy.  This Spring there are some great wedge options.  It's just so hard to narrow it down.  I want one of each!

Here are my personal picks:

My shoe splurge for the season.
I had a hard time deciding between the nude and black,
but ended up with the black because I needed a black sandal.

I chose the neutral so it would go with my mint skinny jeans
and other colored shorts, but I love this shoe in the colors below too!

Other great wedge options:

Weekend Get Away

I just have to mention my fabulous weekend.  I don't get the chance to get away often, so when I do every minute is cherished!  I finished the Cooper River Bridge Run 10K in 51:30, which was a personal best for me.  Of course it wasn't all about the run.  Great friends, good food, good drinks, a little shopping and some relaxation all in a beautiful place.  Here are some highlights:

 Post race
 My best friend Kathrina

What better way to reward yourself after a great race than the best beer and burgers anywhere...

Of course I did a little shopping.  I found a boutique I love in Mt. Pleasant on vacation last summer.  Naturally that's the first place I went as soon as I got to town.  They carry a lot of Judith March and Karlie.  I'm obsessed with both lines because of all the color and great fit.  I found 2 amazing dresses.  My hubby made a deal with me.  If I ran the 10K in 50 minutes or less, I could purchase both of them.  Talk about an incentive!  You better believe I ran a lot better than I normally would have.
Here is one of my new dresses.

Gold Diba wedges (old) similar here
Ivory statement necklace similar here
Gold bracelet with ivory stones (old from boutique in Knoxville)

Good times!
Can't wait to go back with my whole family this summer!

Race Day Essentials

I am running in the Cooper River Bridge 10K in Charleston on Saturday (my first race since giving birth over a year ago), so I am super excited!  It's a great opportunity to get a weekend away and have some fun as well as achieve some fitness goals I have set for myself (hopefully).  Of course I will miss my boys terribly, but I feel it is very important to get a break every once in a while.  Since I have running on the brain, I thought I would share my "Race Day Essentials".  If you've ever run any sort of race, you know how fun and exhilarating they can be.  You see people wearing everything, but here is what I will need to get me through 6.2 miles...
Shocking, right?

I have one similar to this that fits great,
holds everything in place, and doesn't rub.

This has "incredible," no pun intended,
support especially if you are busty.
Gotta keep the girls in place.

In case there is a chill in the air,
this will be all I need to give me some warmth.

My go to shoe for everything!
My feet love these.

Love the fun colors that these come in.

Garmin GPS Watch
I cannot run without my watch!
I have to know my pace, time, and miles run.
Another great feature is that it tells you calories burned.

 iPod Nano 5th Generation
Another must-have is my iPod.  If I don't have it,
my run is that much slower and definitely miserable.
Music fuels my workouts like no other.
If I don't have tunes, I don't get results, ha.

Costa Del Mar Shades in Fathom
A great pair of shades that block the sun
and stay in place while running is a must for me.
I even wear them on cloudy days.

 The Pink Monogram Croakies
Personalized Croakies are a great way to add some flair to your shades.
And yes, I am aware that I need a new pair.
They get a lot of use.

Now, I'm ready to hit the pavement!  Bring it!
