Weekend Recap

I have to say it didn't feel like much of a weekend meaning we didn't do much but that's ok.  I did get some impromptu mall time in Friday night which was fabulous.  I just love my retail therapy outings. :)  Btw Belk is having an awesome sale right now!  I didn't even make it out of Belk.  I went in for towels and here's what I came out with...Mama has a problem, but how can you pass up awesome clearance sales?

I always check the Lilly sales just to see if anything is marked way down.  Well, Friday was my lucky day.  Look at what I found (in my size-rare) for $69?  A classic Lilly Pulitzer shift dress for less than $100?  Yes please!  This is one of those classic pieces that will last 10 years...or more.

I couldn't find it on Belk's website or on sale anywhere else online.
My suggestion...run to Belk if you have one in your area to hit the 65% off Lilly sale.

These sandals were half off!  They are so comfy and I couldn't resist the bling.

All the clearance in the kids department was 50% off of already marked down half off items plus and additional 10% off!  What?!  I bought the boys a few things to finish out the summer and some pj's.  They were like $4 and $5 dollars each.  I tried so hard to find stuff for next summer, but their size was all picked over unfortunately.

And I finally made it to the home store to get what I came for.  Lo and behold the towels I needed were on sale and an additional 20% off.  Btw these are the best towels ever!  They are the softest, fluffiest towels I've ever seen.  Plus they are extra big.

Saturday morning we launched BodyPump 86 at Sportsclub.  I wish I had footage from Sportsclub to share but here's a clip of the Les Mills Body Pump team to give you an idea of what the class consists of.  This is a great release!  I always love launching new material.

After a successful launch, I was ready for a burger (go figure, ha).  We tried a semi new place in Greenville, Tavern 24, that ended up having one of the best burgers ever.  Really, top 5 on my list.  We wanted to try somewhere new to eat, and I knew they have Hoegarden on tap, which is my fave beer. Yeah nothing like an ice cold beer and a burger after a hard core workout, right?! ;)  Since we had the boys, our meal was cut short but still soooo good!

By noon Saturday I was done.  I had an exhausting week and pretty much vegged the rest of the weekend.  I always have plans of doing all these fun things on the weekend, but sometimes Mama has to rest.

This week I am taking the boys to Knoxville to visit my parents.  I have to be honest I am so looking forward to seeing my parents, a change of scenery, and some help!

Hope y'all have a great week!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Nordstrom is one of my favorite online retailers.  They have an awesome website and offer free shipping and returns which is a great benefit since we don't have a store locally.  Nordstrom is currently running their Anniversary Sale.  This is a wonderful way to get a jump on your fall wardrobe.  They are offering great prices on items like jeans, boots, sweaters, etc.  The sale runs until August 5, so make sure you check out their website for some killer deals!

Here's what's in my cart:

And for the boys...
Happy shopping!

A Full Workout Week

I decided to take a little break from teaching BodyAttack about 2 months ago. The boys are requiring a lot of my attention right now and frankly it takes a lot of time and energy to learn, teach and prepare for each class.  Sportsclub needed a little help this month for Attack since they were down an instructor, so I was glad to help out. I've always thought this but after taking 2 months off...whoa!  Nothing, I mean nothing gets me like Attack does. I mean we're talking heart rate maxed, sweat pouring, and walking out breathless and weak in the knees.  Y'all may hink I'm a wuss but this class is serious. It is by far the most intense, crazy ass workout I've ever done, and I've tried many a workout. Point is, I love it (yes I'm crazy like that) and realized how much I missed teaching it. I plan on going back to teaching it full time once the boys are a little older, but right now I need to focus my energies on them.

By the way I am still teaching BodyPump, my first and true love...Les Mills instructors, you know what I'm talking about.  Needless to say after teaching 3 BodyAttack classes and 5 BodyPump classes within the last week, I am exhausted.  This week is a little lighter, so I will be back to running with the boys on the days I'm not teaching. I am also going to focus on learning the new BodyPump release, which we launch at Sportsclub July 27.

On another note...Adam's birthday was Monday (ick), but we are waiting until this coming weekend to celebrate since his parents are coming in.  We hope to get a night away at some point.  :)

I will leave y'all with a few of my fave workout ensembles...
Oh yes! Don't y'all know it's all about the outfit? ;)

New Lilly Pulitzer at The Pink Monogram

Some of ya'll may know this, but I work part-time for The Pink Monogram which is a local business here in Greenville.  Not only does The Pink Monogram offer monogramming, but they have a huge website business which is what I work on.  I just love adding new items to the website.  I just had to share the newest items I've been adding because I'm obsessed.  The Pink Monogram now offers Lilly Pulitzer gift items!  Yay!  I just had to purchase a few of these items for myself.  (Side note: Just so y'all know I am normally very restrained and do not buy every item I put up on the website.  Ok, just had to clear that up.)
My personal favorite item is the agenda (go figure) and yes, I am the proud new owner of a Lilly Pulitzer agenda in the Chiquita Bonita print.

It even comes with stickers!

Love that there is a lot of room to write on each day.

My planner obsession has gone way overboard as I now have not one, but two planners.  Oh yes, and they will both be used my friends.  There is something so therapeutic about writing down my schedule, tasks to complete, to do lists, etc.
If you want to read about my planner obsession here's the link: Plan it Out blog post

Another Lilly item I had to have is the tumbler in the Garden by the Sea print for my ice water or maybe a poolside cocktail.  Yes, I think I like the second idea better.  It comes with a straw too which I love.

Here are some other favorites that are on my wish list...

I am loving this iPad case in Lucky Charms print.

I am having trouble deciding between these Lilly iPhone cases.  The prints are all amazing.
  What do y'all think?

Be sure to check out all the new Lilly Pulitzer items at The Pink Monogram

A Nice Long Weekend

After a wonderfully long weekend, it's time to get back in the swing, ugh!  We had a wonderful visit with my parents in Knoxville even though it rained the majority of the time.  Now it's time to get back to the gym and eating clean again.  I must confess I have been eating terribly lately and guess what?  I feel gross and ended up getting a cold.  It's amazing what a healthy lifestyle will do for you.  It is nice to have a little break every once in awhile though.

Here are a few pics of the highlights of our weekend...

We had to find indoor activities on the 4th due to all the rain,
so we ended up strolling the boys around the mall.

Adam and I did get a couple of date nights, which were fabulous in spite of the rain.
We had a movie date night one of those nights and saw The Lone Ranger.
It was awesome!  I just love Johnny Depp.

Rainy downtown Knoxville

Friday the Vicars came down to Knoxville for dinner.
We ate at our go to place, Calhoun's.
It was so nice to have everyone together.

The boys were a little restless at dinner (shocker), so Grammie pulled out her glasses which they seem to love for some reason.  We got a kick out of Adam putting them on Eli

After a quick dinner (the boys won't sit still long), we let the boys run around down on the waterfront.
They were not happy when we had to leave.

 Checking out the ducks.

Pure mischief

A rare still moment for the boys.

I hope y'all had a wonderful long weekend too!

Americana

Happy Birthday America!
In honor of Independence Day, I am sharing some of my favorite patriotic styles
(and yes, I did get a bit carried away)...

We plan to spend the 4th with my parents in Knoxville.  I am looking forward to getting out of town for a few days and spending time with family.
I hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July!!
