Pump Day

If you are familiar with the Les Mills BodyPump program, you know the official Pump colors are red and black.  As a Les Mills group fitness instructor, you are encouraged to wear the colors of the program for a new release aka a "launch".  I found this tank for a launch back in the fall from Nordstrom.

 On my hunt for the perfect red and black tank, I found an awesome new line of workout gear...yay!  Zella is Nordstrom's private label and is rumored to be made by or at least modeled after Lululemon.  The price points are a little cheaper than Lulu and the quality is amazing. Not to mention, the Zella sale items are super cheap!

Winter Pick Me Ups

Going on day 7 of this horrible cold, I thought I would share some of my wintertime favorites.

 Getting creative with my nails is a good way to add a little color and sparkle on cold, winter days.  I am currently obsessed with unique, fun nails.  Here are some fabulous designs from Es-Nail Los Angeles 

Of course you can't have awesome nails with dry hands.  My go to winter hand cream is Crabtree & Evelyn's Gardeners Age Defying Hand Remedy.  I have used it for years and it is the best because it's not too greasy but thick enough to combat severe dry hands.

My lips are constantly dry in the winter too.  I rely on Smith's Rosebud Salve year round.  It works on dry cuticles, chapped skin, etc.  A great all around soothing balm.

I have recently discovered the world of tea.  Tea can be so good for you and there is a kind for everything.  I have only scratched the surface but my current faves are:

 My attachment in the winter (other than my 2 boys and dog Bear) is my monogrammed leopard print fleece throw.  Nothing like curling up on the couch (which has been a lot lately) with my cozy, warm throw. 

Sniffles

Since starting my boys in Mother's Morning Out in November, we have all been sick 3 times!  Not fun!  Side note: I NEVER used to get sick.  I have been sick more times this past year than I have my whole life.  That being said, I have tried several different cold remedies.  As I sit here sniffling and sucking down green tea, I am going to share with you my favorites.

Dreary Day Wear

The sun hasn't made an appearance in several days, so I thought I would share my dreary day outfit with you.  I tend to wear comfy, casual clothes on yucky weather days.  That is, if I get out of my pj's, ha ha.

 Nothing like a good pair of leggings with boot socks, and riding boots for a yucky, rainy day.

 

  Over the knee boot socks with riding boots and a spandex legging is the perfect way of adding a little style to a dressed down, comfy look.

Winter Blues

Monday Monday

Since I am writing a more fashion/trend oriented blog, I thought I would share my love of workout apparel with you.  I am a group fitness instructor so, as you could imagine, a lot of my wardrobe is workout gear.  I pretty much wear workout clothes everyday.  Of course since I wear it so often, I have to bring fashion into it somehow, right?  Lululemon is my most favorite workout/yoga apparel brand.  I know, so expensive, right?!  After I bought my first pair of speed shorts, I knew those were the only shorts I would ever wear.  They are the perfect length for me (I like them short) and the fabric is amazing.  Not to mention, they come out with new awesome colors and prints often to make them stylish and fun.  I am almost ashamed to admit how many pairs I have, but here they are...

New Beginnings

Hi everyone!  This is my very first post.  I am super excited to share all my shopping finds, fashion, fitness, and beauty loves with you.  I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite items right now.  (Most of which were Christmas gifts.) 

Since it is January and one of the most popular New Year's Resolutions is to hit the gym more often, I thought I would share my absolute favorite pair of tennis shoes with you. 

These just came out and are the most comfortable running/aerobics shoes ever!  This is my 4th pair!

Since we are on the shoe category, my most favorite gift I received this year was a pair of  Ansley Ugg Slippers.  Hands down, the most comfortable pair of shoes ever made!  I not only wear them around the house as slippers, but they are so cute to slip on with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans to run errands.

Ok, so my other most favorite gift was this beautiful Kate Spade bag.  I am obsessed with handbags and have always wanted a Kate Spade, so I was thrilled it was on such a killer deal on CyberMonday.  This is the perfect size to hold all my essentials and has such an elegant look.
